Approach
Make changes your team can keep using.
I follow the work with your staff, identify what needs attention and agree a manageable change. Practical advice, software configuration or bespoke development all serve the same purpose: a process people understand and can maintain.
Before work begins
Be clear about the work from the start.
The scope sets out what will change, what your team needs to contribute and what it will cost. We agree it before work begins.
- The issue to address and the deliverables you will receive.
- For digital work, the features, testing and acceptance criteria, ownership or licensing, and hosting arrangements.
- The people, information and access needed from your organisation.
- The timetable, review points and named decision maker.
- The price, any external costs and how we agree scope changes.
How I work
Follow the work through.
A recommendation needs a route into daily use. I agree the change, test it with your team and hand over the work with clear responsibilities.
Understand the work
Follow the process with your staff. Find the delays, repeated work and unclear decisions, then agree the priorities, scope and cost.
Make the agreed changes
Clarify responsibilities and improve the workflow. Configure existing software or build a bespoke tool where the agreed requirements call for it.
Support everyday use
Test with staff, address their questions and provide the agreed guidance and handover. Define who maintains the process and how you will review it, with the support period agreed in advance.
See the work in practice
Make the handovers visible.
Use a process map to agree the next step and who owns it. These examples show the kind of work I can review with you.
Give each enquiry a clear next step.

- Conversation
- Assessment
- Proposal
- Care
Agree who follows up, what the prospective client needs and how your team records the decision.

During delivery
Listen to staff. Check the detail.
I discuss findings and decisions with you at the agreed checkpoints. Your staff help check the design and test whether the solution reflects the work they do. We agree any changes to the requirements before adding them to the project.
At handover, I review the deliverables, remaining decisions and responsibilities with you. For digital work, I include the agreed testing, rollout, live walkthroughs and written guidance so staff can use the solution in daily work. We agree the support period and maintenance responsibilities in the scope.

Practical answers
A few practical questions
Do I need a detailed brief?
Bring the issue you are dealing with. I use the introductory call to help you identify a starting point. If the problem needs more investigation, I can scope a Business Health Check and prioritise the next steps with you.
Can you design and build a solution for us?
Yes. I can design, build and implement a bespoke digital solution around your requirements, or introduce third-party software into your existing business. I agree the deliverables, testing, staff support, handover and ongoing responsibilities with you in the project scope.
Can you work with our existing systems and suppliers?
Yes. I start with the tools you already use and the people who support them. I can configure and implement third-party software within your existing processes, or scope a bespoke tool where there is a gap. I agree supplier involvement and any integrations with you before starting.
Do you work remotely?
I work remotely with independent homecare providers across the UK, using online working sessions and shared documents. I can agree on-site work with you where it would help, with travel and additional costs included in the quote. I scope regulatory-readiness work for the provider’s location.
How do we agree the cost?
I agree the deliverables, assumptions, responsibilities and price with you before work starts. If the scope changes, I explain the effect on the price and timetable before proceeding.
